Our Competitive Clubs just got world-record mentors

Big news for our young builders: Wiz Kidz is forming a strategic partnership with FIRST Tech Challenge Team 12808, RevAmped Robotics — the team that holds the FTC Decode solo world record. Starting with the 2026–27 season, RevAmped's students will mentor our Wiz Kidz Competitive Clubs batches, peer to peer.

Meet RevAmped Robotics

RevAmped Robotics is one of the most decorated teams in FIRST Tech Challenge. In March 2026 they set the Decode season solo world record with a 295-point performance, and back in the 2021–22 Freight Frenzy season they were half of a world-record 344-point alliance match.

But records are only part of the story. RevAmped's students have spent years doing exactly what our Competitive Clubs kids are learning to do: designing robots, writing code, keeping engineering notebooks, and presenting their work to judges. They know the road because they're still on it.

Why peer-to-peer mentorship matters

Because a mentor who is still a student remembers exactly what it felt like to not know — the first confusing sensor reading, the mechanism that kept slipping, the nerves before a judging interview. Advice lands differently when it comes from someone who cleared that hurdle recently, in the same competition world your child is entering.

For our students, the mentors are close enough in age to feel like teammates — and accomplished enough to show what's possible a few seasons from now.

The best robotics lesson comes from someone who sat in your seat a few seasons ago — and now holds a world record.

Come launch it with us on July 9

We're kicking off the partnership in person at the Bethany Village Summer Concert — and it's built to be hands-on.

Drive a world-record robot

RevAmped is bringing their robot for an interactive engineering showcase, complete with a driving station. Kids won't just see a world-record robot up close — they may get to drive it.

Meet the teams

Talk to kids who've competed

Our past FLL Challenge teams will be at the Wiz Kidz booth, sharing what a competition season is really like — the builds, the late fixes, and the wins. Come with your questions and talk to the kids who have lived it.

A season worth building toward

Our Competitive Clubs students already know what it feels like to test, fail, fix, and finally win. With RevAmped Robotics alongside them, the 2026–27 season starts with world-class mentors in their corner — and a very fun Thursday evening to launch it all.

We are recruiting new members for 2026-27 season!
